From the beginning of Multimedia to now, there have been many things about photography that I had absolutely no clue about. Many things that I didn’t think to try and have made my pictures so different and amazing to look at. I’ve learned that adding different filters can add things you want to emphasize and minimize the things you don’t quite enjoy about your image. I’ve seen how editing your pictures, even the slightest bit can really change the way you see your image. Adding different tints, editing exposure, changing shadows or highlighting different parts, and reducing noise (a new one for me).
Taking all our pictures on our own phone was sometimes a challenge when we would have to take an image close up and our phone won’t focus. Or say we would take pictures of a bug or bee and by the time it focuses it decides to fly away. But overall I had tons of fun, taking pictures in places I didn’t think I could see in a certain way until I captured it the way I wanted to. And had lots of fun taking pictures with Rae and stressing out about deadlines with her.
Learning how to use photoshop was really exciting too. I thought by how much it’s posted about online it would be super simple, boy was I wrong. I figured out very quickly that there were very many different ways to do one thing and people just make some up along the way or at least that’s what I did. I’ve been using photoshop for my own assignments, like cutting out an image and using a transparent background to use it on something else, that’s helped me a lot with wanting to use certain images that aren’t provided on google as cut outs.
